Young people (and everyone) call it weed, pot, gunja, green, chronic, bud or a mixture of 100s of other street names. We call it weed.
No argument! Weed + teens = bad. Agreed. But at this age, is it a recipe for…
Destruction? An average life? Or nothing?
The most likely negative for smoking weed regularly as a teen is continued addiction.
3 Deeper Emotional Reasons Why You Just Can’t Quit Smoking Marijuana
Firstly, this might not be you.
Most people can easily take or leave marijuana, and good for them! Weed is a popular drug loved by many and hated by few, that’s for sure.
However, that is the very reason why there is also another group of people; a growing group that seem to have a “Need To Smoke Weed” which is almost against their own will.

Quitting Marijuana, Alcohol and Cigarettes: Which Addiction Should I Quit First?
Another question for Seb about quitting marijuana. This time, specifically about quitting marijuana, alcohol and cigarettes.

Hi Seb,
First off I just want to tell you how grateful I am to you for your website!!!
I am now 40 years old and have smoked weed religiously for 25 years. During the week I only smoked in the evenings after getting home from work, however at the weekend I would always smoke weed from the time I awoke, if I could.
Marijuana: Is It Difficult To Quit Weed?
Marijuana can be a tough habit for some people to stop using, and others have no problem.
While it may not be as hard as heroin or cocaine to quit it can be challenging, because besides being addictive it is extremely habit forming.
The chemical component of the addiction is often not the type to warrant rehab, but it can still be psychologically problematic for many regular smokers.
It means that one ingredient in successful recovery is going to be a change in the way you think about marijuana.
The New Quit Weed Forum Is NOT Open
Meaning to do this for a while. My “answering email sessions” to people quitting weed are only getting long.
And I don’t have any problems with that! Really, I have made many life long friends by answering emails each day. But what if you could talk to others? Wouldn’t that be better?
What if, at the very point you quit smoking weed, you could talk to all the other people quitting weed right now. Helpful?
Even if only to see what other people are up to when they quit, right? Or maybe just to get it all off your own chest? Either way feedback is always good, and good feedback is exactly what quit weed forum provides.
Why You Should Quit Smoking Weed
There are a million reasons why people should not smoke marijuana. For starters, marijuana contains delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, better known as THC but it also contains in excess of 400 additional chemicals too. The marijuana of the 2000’s is much more potent than the marijuana that was smoked back 30 or 40 years ago.
This newer strain of marijuana causes people’s heart and pulse to race, it impairs memory, hinders concentration, and it thwarts coordination and reaction time. In some people marijuana causes anxiety and panic. It is also proven to be psychologically dependent. Those who smoke marijuana develop a tolerance and need more to get the same effect as they once did.
